Precision Forage Choppers

Hydro-mechanical feed intake, variable knife-drum geometry, and dry-matter sensor integration.

Hydraulic Intake & Compression Systems

Uniform forage cutting demands pre-compression of crop flow before encountering the high-speed rotating drum. Quad-roll intake systems apply up to 45 kN of downward hydraulic force onto incoming alfalfa or sorghum, compressing erratic windrows into a solid rectangular mat.

Continuous length-of-cut (LOC) transmission systems adjust feed roll speed in fractions of a second based on near-infrared (NIR) moisture readings, automatically shortening the chop when dealing with dense, low-moisture silage to promote fermentation.

Continuous NIR Dry Matter Analysis

Mounted directly on the discharge spout, solid-state spectrometer units emit short-wave near-infrared radiation to scan forage as it accelerates toward transport trailers at velocities exceeding 30 meters per second.

Real-time data streams compute percentage values for moisture, acid detergent fiber (ADF), neutral detergent fiber (NDF), and crude protein. Operators leverage these benchmarks to generate geo-referenced nutritional field maps for feed inventory planning.
