Cutter Bar Innovations

Autonomous Header Controls

Eliminating front-end shatter losses through multi-segment articulated drapers and real-time ultrasonic ground sensors.

Three-Piece Wing Articulation

In wide harvesting headers spanning 12 to 18 meters (40 to 60 feet), rigid cutter bars inevitably scalp ridges and float over shallow depressions, leaving harvestable heads in the field. Articulated flexible drapers address this via three independent frame sections connected by heavy pin hinges.

Proportional hydraulic valves respond to ultrasonic ping feedback within 12 milliseconds, allowing each wing to pitch and roll up to 380 mm above or below the central feeder house datum plane.

Dual Knife Drive Kinematics

Center-drive or opposing end-drive gearboxes eliminate lateral shaking vibrations across wide sickle bars. By using synchronized planetary gearboxes running in oil baths, the opposing cutter knives reciprocate in perfect counter-phase, canceling structural resonance.

The resulting cut is sharp and clean even at forward velocities surpassing 10 km/h, preventing ear bounce and kernel shattering at the knife edge.
